The history of the barge

The Octopus barge was built in the MORY shipyards in Mortaigne in 1953.

The LORIO families, WALBRECQ (fame “MARYLAND”) then CHABERGE (fame VA YO YO MI) were the owners of the barge. The boat has been renovated by Hervé Boticcelli to make it habitable over the years 2013-2014

This barge, constructed of steel between 1953 et 1954 at the MORY shipyard in Mortagne (53), stands out for its robustness and its history. With a maximum hull length of 38,70 meters and a width of 5,06 meters, it provides a stable and comfortable browsing experience. Its displacement at maximum penetration reached 368 tons, guaranteeing a peaceful cruise.
